New to Pagosa Springs as of the fourth of July 2008!, and it’s ever-growing art scene, is the Pagosa Artisans’ Co-op, housed at 150 Pagosa Street. You can’t miss the big purple building and the Co-Ops’ sign on your left, as you’re driving east on 160 from downtown Pagosa.
The Pagosa Artisans’ Co-op is the home of artists’ of all media’s that have come together to support and create a vision to sell and continue to excel in what they are passionate about. As artist we are continually growing and expanding in new directions. This self-discovery shows not only in our art work, but our personal lives as well.
Currently we are a growing number of over 25 artist, which include painters of many medias, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor; from established galleries to the up and coming artist.
We have exquisite hand made crafted jewelry created out of fused glass, precious stones, silver, gourds pieces, beads, and other materials. We offer many gift items such as hand painted and/or embellished decorative gourds, rope baskets, quilted wall hangings, photography of all kinds, stained glass and hand carved wood items as well as contemporary and traditional pottery. Other affordable gifts include photography on cards, art prints on cards, matted art prints and handmade purses of all kinds.
Our artist’s offer classes and/or workshops to the community and learning artist to encourage them in their own creativity and in realizing their own artist dreams.
The Co-ops’ vision once again is to provide exposure for our artist and craftsmen to sell our art work and to support and encourage like-minded artist. This we feel, will help support Pagosa Springs as a great art community.
